After the hike in\u00a0Abel Tasman<\/a> and a day in Golden bay I went to the West Coast. Here clearly when there is a big sun is that you are lucky \ud83d\ude09.<\/span><\/h2>\n

    Pancakes rocks<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    On the west coast, a first stop is to note: pancakes Rocks. These are eroded rocks in stacks of pancakes! A small way forward is made to have views on all parts<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Arthur’s Pass<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      After a night by a lake I went to Arthur’s Pass. Do not get discouraged if the weather is gray, rainy on the west side. Indeed, once the first mountains past there is a good chance that the sky is very clear!<\/span><\/p>\n

      I did the trek Devils punchbowl waterfall and even if at the beginning the coat and cap was de rigueur they were quickly put off!<\/span><\/p>\n

      Then I took the road to Pearson Lake. To be honest the road to go was worth more than the lake itself \ud83d\ude44.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Hokitika<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        After a rainy day in Hokitika, I went to see its gorge. I think that after several days of good weather the color must be even more impressive but frankly it was already really very beautiful!!<\/span><\/p>\n

          Glaciers<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Then I went to the glaciers and mirror Lake Matheson. Except that the view was completely blocked. And since there was light wind, the lake was not completely mirror either \ud83d\ude2a.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Beware, on the west coast, between the glaciers and Haast there is no fuel, no signal! You can find a free camp on Wikicamps but it’s just a little stop near the beach (but not a lot of traffic).<\/span><\/p>\n

            Blue Pools<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            On the way to Queenstown I stopped at the blue pools. It’s really beautiful! You can jump from the bridge but outside of the summer the water is a bit chilly \ud83d\ude05.<\/span><\/p>\n
