It was voted “public interest” by the National Assembly to allow its construction and thus expropriate the landowners of the mound. Its architecture is debated (several architects take turns creating changes in styles). Personally I like it :). And there is a superb view of Paris!<\/span><\/p>\n

This is really what makes this neighborhood attractive for a walk. Its narrow streets with a “village” effect with its little houses! With of course la maison rose, a well-known Instagram restaurant!<\/span><\/p>\n

Montmartre is also a must-see place for Dalida fans who come to pay homage to her. There is in particular a bust on a square. You can admire her old house. And besides, you can leave a note in a letterbox near her grave (at the Montmartre cemetery).<\/span><\/p>\n
