To start 2021, I wanted a break from Paris and I went to Honfleur for the weekend! If you are still hesitating for this year, I highly recommend you!

Useful nformation
I chose the city of Honfleur for a little getaway by the sea. I did not yet know this small town with its typical architecture! I rented private accommodation via Booking (with the curfew, not possible to go out to eat at night …). I did well because a few days before, my cat had to take the insulin again, so I had to leave with him needing a fridge!
It turned out that it was difficult to find something to eat, some restaurants having opted to stay closed. Others stormed to take away because there was no solution outside. In short, not having anticipated, I celebrate the NYE whit a kebab… I caught up with the bakery the next day! And the crest seller 😊.
Be careful, however, it’s quite difficult to park in this city, at least for free! I squatted the street of my Airbnb but without certainty that I had the right to park…

Beach and port
On January 1st I went for a run on the beach, it was great to start the year like this! It’s really very nice 😊. The only downside is the view of the port of Le Havre which is not really nice … But you quickly forget it when you step on the sand, hear the waves 😍.
The small port in the city center is also really super pleasant!!

Old town
The old town has small streets that are really pleasant to walk through and where you can admire its typical architecture.!

Notre Dame de Grâce Chapel
Before leaving, I went up to the heights to visit this chapel which also offers a superb view of Honfleur and the sea! Its particularity is to have its bells next to it, it’s really nice to see them put into action 😊.
I hesitated to go back “with restaurants” this year because I enjoyed this little Normandy break! I would go back, for sure!
